Hi, I’m Venita Rawal, Ph.D, LPC
I believe each person deserves to live a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and their own — not one shaped only by expectations or inherited “shoulds.”
My journey into counseling began in an unexpected place: working with teenagers. As a special education teacher, I was deeply curious about what lived beneath the anger, indifference, and frustration I saw every day. I wanted to understand their pain and help them develop healthier ways to cope with trauma, stress, and life’s challenges.
That curiosity became my calling.
Over the past two decades, I have worked with adolescents, young adults, couples, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. Along the way, I faced my own personal challenges that taught me the importance of having not only a safe space to speak openly, but also a fresh perspective and practical tools to move forward.
Those experiences shaped both who I am and how I practice today.

Much of my work is rooted in helping people release the pressure of inherited expectations and reconnect with who they truly are.
I believe therapy is not only about understanding where you’ve been, but about helping you create where you are going.
My goal is to help you build a life that reflects your values, not someone else’s design.
My Mission

Approach To Therapy
My approach is strength-based, solution-focused, and grounded in both compassion and action.
Your goals and strengths are the foundation of our work together. While understanding the past is important, I place equal focus on the present and future, helping you create practical change that improves your daily life.
I strive to understand your perspective while also gently challenging you to think differently and grow in new ways.
In our work together, you can expect:
-
A supportive, nonjudgmental space where your experiences and concerns are heard and respected
-
Collaboration to identify solutions and strategies that create meaningful change
-
Small, practical tools you can use immediately to manage stress and emotional overwhelm
-
Guidance in shifting unhelpful patterns and inner dialogue
-
Encouragement to live according to your own beliefs and values

I believe deeply in gratitude, joy, and the resilience of people. I am often described as an optimist, someone who sees possibility even during difficult moments.
Together, let's explore the expectations, experiences, and patterns that are shaping your present and create new ones that support the life you want to live. This work is about learning to enjoy the moment, finding clarity in uncertainty, and creating a future that feels fulfilling and balanced.
If you are ready to release what no longer serves you and begin moving toward a life rooted in purpose and possibility, I invite you to take the next step.
